Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to JOMBA: Journal of Management and Business Analytics undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the evaluation.

Review Workflow

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team conducts a preliminary check to evaluate:

    • Relevance to the journal’s scope

    • Compliance with formatting guidelines

    • Plagiarism (using Turnitin/iThenticate or equivalent)

Manuscripts that fail to meet basic standards will be returned without review.

  2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

    • Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, methodology, clarity, contribution, and relevance.

    • The review period typically lasts 2 to 4 weeks.

  3. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer comments, the editor will decide:

    • Accept without revision

    • Minor revision (requires small adjustments, no re-review)

    • Major revision (requires substantial changes and re-review)

    • Reject

  4. Revision Stage
Authors are given 7–14 days for minor revisions and 14–21 days for major revisions.
Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the same reviewers for further evaluation.

  5. Final Decision and Publication
After final approval, the manuscript proceeds to copyediting, layout, and publication.
