Screening for Plagiarism
JOMBA: Journal of Management and Business Analytics is committed to upholding academic integrity and originality in all published content. Every manuscript submitted to this journal will undergo a plagiarism screening process before being sent for peer review.
Plagiarism Screening Policy
-
All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection tools, such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent software approved by the editorial team.
-
Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% (excluding bibliography and quotes) will be returned to the author for revision or rejected if the overlap is considered excessive and unethical.
-
Self-plagiarism or redundant publication (republishing substantial parts of the author's own previously published work without citation) is strictly prohibited.
-
The editorial team reserves the right to reject any manuscript at any stage of the review process if plagiarism is detected.
-
Authors are expected to ensure that all sources are properly cited and that ideas or words not their own are clearly acknowledged.
Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for the integrity of the manuscript they submit. To avoid plagiarism, authors must:
-
Use quotation marks and citations for direct quotes
-
Paraphrase properly and give appropriate credit
-
Ensure proper citation of all data, figures, or ideas taken from other works
Editorial Screening Process
-
Initial Check: Manuscripts are screened before peer review.
-
After Revisions: Resubmitted manuscripts may be rechecked.
-
Final Check: Before publication, a final plagiarism check is conducted.
If plagiarism is found after publication, the article may be retracted and authors may be banned from future submissions.
